Meet our talented team
Dave Barron
Director / Lead Generation
I’m proud to have founded Nectar just over 10 years ago and equally proud that I now co-own the company with our GM, Daniel Doller. With Daniel looking after the operational aspects of Nectar now, my involvement with Nectar is at a governance and strategic level.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me with my wife, Tracy, daughter Emily and son, Elliot at our bach in Otematata, casting lines in the pristine waters of New Zealand, tracking through the wilderness in pursuit of the perfect catch, doing projects around the house, or just relaxing on the lake.
But it’s not all about fishing and hunting; after 25 years of experience in IT, business management and consulting, I’m even more passionate about helping businesses thrive through technology. I’ve established a new ‘sister company’ to Nectar, called e2e Limited, which focuses on helping organisations to optimise their business processes and software applications to make their business run smoother than a well-oiled fishing reel!
Daniel Doller
CEO
I’m Dan (also known as Doller to the team and a lot of our valued clients), the CEO here at Nectar.
Some of the things I handle outside of the day-to-day operations here are consulting for firms around technology and Cyber Security, along with leading our Cyber Team. I have a very relaxed leadership style and encourage the team to be accountable for what they do and own the results. One of my passions when it comes to what I do is ensuring the best possible outcome for our clients and ensuring they know Nectar cares about their business and we are there to secure them.
When I am not at the office, you can catch me chilling with my family, which consists of my partner, three daughters, and my son. Any downtime I get outside of that, you will see me online hitting those games! (I do a lot of that).
Greg Sharp
Sales Director
I’m Greg, Sales Director at Nectar – and the guy heading up our Auckland office.
Over the past three decades I’ve worked with organisations across New Zealand, Australia and the UK, helping them navigate an ever‑changing tech landscape and build stronger, more resilient operations. I’ve learned that the best results come from listening closely to what clients need and delivering solutions that truly fit their business.
What I enjoy most is seeing a team hit its targets, a client’s system stay secure, and a partnership grow because we’ve taken the time to understand each other. I’m a laid‑back leader who gives people the space to own their work, and provide support when needed.
When I’m not in the office you’ll usually find me on the golf course chasing that elusive birdie, out on the water trying to catch the biggest fish, or simply enjoying a lazy day with my family.
I look forward to getting to know you, learning about your priorities, and showing how Nectar can help your business stay secure and thrive.
Daniel Tovizi
Solutions Consultant
I’m one of the Dans at Nectar. I joined the team in 2018 and have been part of building one of the best MSPs around. Currently, I’m excelling as a Service Delivery Manager at Nectar Group, enriched by having worn the many different hats of Nectar.
I am a strong believer in relationships, and in changing perceptions around IT; we are not just a bunch of nerds, we work hard and have fun doing it. I love exploring new technology and how it can improve productivity, security, and efficiency.
When work isn’t on my radar, I’m out at the canals in the Mackenzie region, trying my luck at fishing or living out my obsession for smoking.. meat. ribs, brisket, chicken wings…, or gaming with an awesome group of gaming buddies turned great friends. And after a very long break from football (in my teens), I “accidentally” joined a team in 2023. It’s a bit rougher and tougher than I remember, but it’s all part of the game, bruises and all!
Mark Taylor
Service Delivery Manager
I’m Mark, and I’m the Service Delivery Manager at Nectar. I bring 14 years of IT experience, having navigated a wide range of roles and challenges that have shaped how I approach technology, service, and leadership.
I care deeply about our customers and am passionate about making sure their experience with us is second to none. For me, it’s about building trust based on transparent communication, delivering tangible value, and showing how technology can be a powerful enabler of productivity and success.
Before stepping into the world of IT, my career took me through the British Army, the Petrochemical Industry, and Commercial Print and Design. Each chapter gave me a strong sense of discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Outside of work, I’m usually hands-on with a DIY project, out enjoying the great outdoors, or spending quality time with my family.
Julie Knowles-Blakely
Business Manager
As Nectar’s Business Manager, I oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, including finance, human resources and office management. I bring a warm, practical and people-focused approach, ensuring operational alignment with the strategic goals of the business. I’m passionate about building strong relationships and supporting high-performing teams. I enjoy working collaboratively, solving problems and identifying ways to improve processes and drive operational efficiency.
My background includes more than 25 years’ experience across financial and office management roles, most recently managing a well-known law firm in Christchurch. I am also a Registered Accounting Technician with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Outside of work, I’m kept busy being Mum and Step Mum to three boys (and to our dog who is also a boy!). Most weekends you’ll find me doing housework, standing on the sidelines at the rugby field, going for long walks and catching up with family and friends.
Simon Halliday
Client Relationship Consultant
Hi there, I’m Simon, I’ve been working in IT for coming up to 13 years now and have been with Nectar for almost 2 years of that. I originally came on board as a senior engineer but have recently ventured into client relations.
With all those years spent around a screen I’ve tried to diversify my hobbies, even if only a little. During the warmer months I love to head out free diving and spearfishing throughout New Zealand, hoping to eventually make a trip to Australia to do the same. However, in the colder months I’m far more comfortable inside watching both the NFL and the UFC religiously. Go the Eagles, surely this year!
Logan Fraser
Client Relationship Consultant
I’m Logan, one of the Client Relationship Consultants here at Nectar.
I bring a background in business development, account management, and specialist software consulting, having spent several years helping organisations streamline their operations and adopt smarter technology solutions. I’ve worked in both technical and client-facing roles, which has given me a strong understanding of how to align business goals with practical IT outcomes. Earlier in my career, I developed a disciplined and detail-focused approach in a highly technical environment — something that still shapes how I support clients today.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me at the local dog park or out on a mountain bike trail with my Australian Kelpie, Nala. I also enjoy honing my archery skills or getting stuck into a good sci-fi book.
Luke Gough
Senior Systems Engineer – Team Lead
Hi, I’m Luke.
With a deep passion for technology, I’m always at the forefront of the latest innovations, ensuring that I, and our company, stay ahead in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
When I’m not immersed in the world of technology, I love spending quality time with my family. My weekends are often filled with exciting outdoor activities such as fishing, motocross, mountain biking, and 4WD’ing. These adventures not only fuel my spirit but also inspire my creative approach to problem-solving and innovation in the workplace.
Jordan Jones
Senior Cyber Security Consultant
Hi, I’m Jordan. I joined Nectar in April 2024. I enjoy learning new skills and applying my knowledge and experience to solving customers’ problems. My passion is creating service solutions for cloud computing and cloud security.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me spending time with my young family and honing my multi-tasking skills by looking after my young daughter, while cooking the BBQ and trying not to spill my beer!
Bruno
Systems Engineer
Hello there. My name is Bruno, and I’m originally from Brazil, but now I live in New Zealand. I joined Nectar in April 2024. I am passionate about interacting with people and developing innovative and creative solutions to small and complex problems. I am confident in engaging with clients and discussing the benefits of my recommended solutions.
On a sunny weekend, I can be found outdoors, either on a long hike or having a BBQ. I love to travel anywhere and everywhere. On a rainy day, I enjoy staying at home and watching endless movies and TV series.
Deep Patel
Systems Engineer
Hi, My name is Deep Patel. I have had the wonderful opportunity to polish my dedication and support abilities since joining the team as a Service Desk Engineer in May 2021. As a result, I’ve developed into a knowledgeable, experienced, and skilled Systems Engineer. Strong relationships with both clients and our internal staff have become a strength of mine. I continually push myself to go above and beyond, making sure that clients always receive top-notch service. I do this with an unyielding work ethic and a never-ending smile.
And let’s not forget about my efforts in cricket; after suffering a number of injuries, I am still steadfast in following my passion for cricket.
Josh McCutcheon
Service Desk Engineer
Hey there, I’m Josh M. I’ve had a passion for computers since I was young, but have only been working in IT support since the start of 2023. Before that, I worked in a variety of roles, including customer service/support, Royal NZ Airforce CIS technician (Radio/Air Traffic) and in Land & Titles.
My current goals are to continue building client relationships with Nectar customers and expanding my foundational IT knowledge. I love speaking to people and learning about how their organisations operate and impact the wider community. We have some really incredible clients, so there’s no shortage of good work stories!
Beyond the Nectar office, you’ll find me video gaming (shocker), surfing, playing sport (big fan of basketball and boxing), spending time with my family, gardening, reading and learning woodworking for fun! I’ve always had a passion for learning new skills and there doesn’t seem to be any ceiling on the things you can learn! A fun fact about me is that I was raised in Port Moresby, a truly beautiful place with incredible scenery, people and wildlife. Despite my slight aversion to hammerhead sharks following a knee boarding incident, I still miss it!
Ashlee Triggs
Service Desk Engineer
Heya, I’m Ash. I am the part of the Nectar team that’s your first point of contact and I’m always willing to conquer your tech problems. I have been part of Nectar and the IT world since June 2022, and am really enjoying my new career path. The Nectar Team have helped me grow my knowledge and understanding of IT and shown me how challenging and fun it can be.
Before working at Nectar, I worked in a wide range of customer service jobs as well as working in an office environment as accounts payable and admin, so I have a diverse range of skills.
Outside of Nectar I spend time with my partner and stepdaughter. We enjoy gaming on PC/Xbox/PlayStation jamming games like Fortnite, God of War, and Overwatch, going for walks around Sumner and hanging out with family. I’m also a Harry Potter fan and love anything fantasy! I would love to own a dragon but alas, they do not exist, so the next best things are dogs.
Matt Thompson
Service Desk Engineer
Hi, I’m Matt. I joined Nectar at the end of September 2024. I’m an experienced Service Desk professional, with a passion for resolving issues and fulfilling service requests for customers. I also love learning and innovation, and keeping up with the latest technology trends.
When I’m not working, I you can find me spending quality time with my partner and young family. My other interests include turbo Japanese cars, spending time outdoors, cooking and building custom PCs.
Michael Ernst
Service Desk Engineer
Hi, I’m Michael. I’ve just returned to New Zealand after gaining valuable experience living and working in Canada. I love working in challenging and changing environments, and have a passion for business analysis, customer success and relationship building, and cloud computing.
I’m passionate about cybersecurity in and out of work time, I enjoy solving Hack The Box challenges, malware analysis and software development in my spare time. I play Ultimate Frisbee around Christchurch, and as an avid back country tramper I frequently organise and lead outdoor expeditions for friends.
Antony Liken
Accounts Administrator
I’ve worked for Nectar Group for 4 years now in the role of Accounts Administrator. As such I’m responsible for a wide range of accounts / accounting duties including creditors, billing, budgeting, month-end financials & payroll. I also assist the sales team in quoting and ordering hardware and software. I do however like to leave the real IT stuff to the experts! I’m a relative newbie in the IT industry having come from a background in accounting for manufacturing and the performing arts/conventions as well as a stint of OE in London working a variety of roles.
Outside of Nectar I’m heavily involved in the Canterbury squash scene, playing at a decently high level (B1-Grade) and assisting with administration at the Christchurch Squash Club. I enjoy a weekly round of golf however it is often as quoted “a good walk spoiled”. I love a good nights pub trivia with friends and family and like to challenge my brain cells each day by attempting the Times Cryptic with varying degrees of success!
Jack Gillians

Since joining the team in March 2026 as a Service Desk Engineer, I’ve focused on delivering reliable IT support and practical systems engineering solutions, with an emphasis on stability, consistency, and helping users stay productive.
