In April 2014 Lyttelton Engineering engaged Nectar to investigate the ongoing performance issues with the file server, including slow speed and file transfer problems, which our IT provider at the time was unable to resolve. Nectar were chosen to do this based on the recommendation of another company that we were working with at the time.
Zane undertook the review and we were impressed by the manner in which he went about it. Primarily he was very knowledgeable, responsive and easy to work with.
Following the review, we decided to replace our network server and make changes to our email system. After consulting several referees and receiving only good feedback we made the decision to engage Nectar to rebuild and maintain our system.
From that time on our frustrating issues have disappeared and we have a much faster and reliable system with a failsafe backup. Zane and his team seem like they are part of our company and staff call them directly with any queries.

Pain points and areas for improvement were identified with Nectar recommending a plan which was easy to understand and met our technology needs. The plan was then implemented to roll out the improvements across all sites.

Nectar Group have been instrumental in developing our IT infrastructure to meet the ever growing and diverse requirements of a modern zoo.
We currently have 18 thin clients working faultlessly in a Windows Server Remote Desktop environment employing three virtual servers. This setup was tailored to our limitations in terms of internet connectivity, the progressive replacement of out-of-date hardware and developing but uncertain future requirements. Backup solutions were identified in discussions with Nectar Group, appropriate to the nature of the data, requirements of Park Management and restrictions of our budget.
At every step in the evolution of our IT environment the whole range of possible solutions have been explained with regards to cost, benefits and short-comings, for us to identify the most applicable solution for ourselves.
Nectar Group staff use language and explanations appropriate to the skill level of the client without patronising or ‘dumbing-down’ the issues or compromising the end result. Nectar Group have accommodated every request and query and provided prompt efficient support every time!
